How to get to Chinootka Lodge

Our private airport shuttle van will meet you and transport you to and from our floating sport fishing lodge. Just let us know your flight times to and from Campbell River, and leave the driving to us!

Chinootka Lodge is located inside Nootka Sound on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

Nootka Sound itself lies west of Campbell River and spans the distance from just outside the small town of Gold River to Tahsis, and continues Northwest to the Nootka Island area.

For those who have never visited the west coast of Vancouver Island, the incredible beauty of the entire Nootka Sound region is like no other coastal area! Witnessing the beauty of Nootka Sound is the second best reason to go there, following closely behind the fabulous fishing that we have become so famous for.

 

Getting to Chinootka Lodge


by road:

  • Leave the driving to us and take advantage of our shuttle service. We will have our private van meet you and transport you to and from our floating sport fishing lodge.
  • If you're doing the driving, please note:
  • BC Ferries serve Vancouver Island at either Tsawwassen or Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. Travel north on Hwy19 to Campbell River, then head west on Hwy. 28 to Gold River.
  • Our pick-up point is at Cougar Creek Recreational Site, half way to Tahsis from Gold River. We will send you detailed directions before your arrival date.

by air:

  • Commercial airline: Fly to Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, Comox or Campbell River, rent a vehicle and drive to the designated location for pick up by boat. We will send you detailed directions before your arrival date.
  • Float plane: Charter a float plane and land directly in front of the Lodge.
  • Custom shuttle service: We can pick you up at the Campbell River, BC, Airport and drive you to our lodge, then return you to the airport with your fish in our new, comfortable, roomy van.
